We’re more than a just tutoring service

As a non-profit organisation, academic success should not come with a hefty price tag. That’s why we offer affordable 1-1 or group tuition starting from just £7.50 per hour.

At The National Society for Education, Mentoring and Media (NSEMM), a BBC-featured community-driven and student-run online educational hub, we’re more than a tutoring service; we’re making this vision a reality. As a non-profit, we believe academic success shouldn’t come with a hefty price tag. That’s why we offer affordable 1-1 or group tuition and extend our services to schools and community centres, including currently offering free tuition to students from schools where a large number qualify for our Opportunities Advancement Award.

What we do

We provide opportunities and foster creativity among young artists, designers and musicians.

Our Story and Our Values

Fueled by a passion to bridge the educational gap and combat inequality fuelled by the wage gap, NSEMM was founded in 2020 by two passionate students, Adrian and Socks. Their journey began with a YouTube channel called “Programmatic Flying,” where they ignited a spark for learning. This initiative quickly evolved into a comprehensive tutoring service known as TutorEagle.

Recognising the need for a name that reflected the expanding scope of their mission, NSEMM emerged in 2023. Today, we remain true to our principles: all money is reinvested to ensure their services remain affordable and accessible, empowering students to become the architects of their own future.

At NSEMM, we’re proud to be student-run, offering a unique perspective on the challenges and needs of other students.

We understand the difficulties students face firsthand, fostering relatability and comfort in our learning environment. Our student-led approach encourages innovation, allowing us to swiftly integrate new tools and methods into our mentoring and educational services. Committed to our cause, we are motivated by personal experiences and a genuine desire to make a difference in education.

Our Story

NSEMM was founded in 2020 by two passionate students who saw the profound impact of educational inequality exacerbated by the wage gap.

Initially launched as a YouTube channel called ‘Programmatic Flying,’ the initiative quickly evolved into a comprehensive tutoring service known as TutorEagle. Today, we remain 100% student-governed and run, with all profits reinvested to keep our services affordable.

Being student-run gives us a unique perspective on the challenges and needs of our peers. We understand firsthand the difficulties students face and are therefore better equipped to address them.

Our Impact and Values

Since our inception, NSEMM (formerly Tutor Eagle) has helped students across the UK and even abroad in the Caribbean achieve their academic goals.

Students are often at the forefront of technological and educational innovation. Our student-run structure allows us to adapt and integrate new tools and methods into our tutoring services. As students ourselves, we are deeply committed to the cause.

We are motivated by our personal experiences and a genuine desire to make a difference in the educational landscape.

Independent

We empower our students to become independent learners, equipping them with the skills they need to succeed beyond the classroom.

Innovative

Our use of cutting-edge technologies and our curated learning portal ensure that students receive the best possible educational experience.

Inclusive

We celebrate diversity and believe that fair representation is crucial. Our inclusive policies reflect our commitment to equality.

Individualised

We recognise that one size does not fit all. Our approach involves personalised and bespoke learning plans using SMART goals.
