Each tutoring session costs around £15.07 to deliver. This covers tutor pay at the Real Living Wage of £13.45 an hour, plus statutory holiday pay. A further £2.67 or so per session covers essential running costs such as insurance, DBS checks, secure platforms and safeguarding systems.
Our running costs per lesson cover public liability insurance, DBS checks for tutors, web hosting, our secure database system, Lessonspace (our online teaching platform), domain and email access, plus a 10 percent buffer for savings and emergencies.
Most families pay a flexible contribution towards their lessons, subsidised through our Community Education Fund so that cost is never a barrier. Each session costs around £15.07 in tutor pay at the Real Living Wage plus holiday pay, with a further £2.67 or so covering running costs. Donations help bridge the gap when families cannot afford the full contribution.
Yes. We use JustGiving’s secure payment system. All donations are processed safely and you will receive a confirmation of your contribution by email.
Yes. If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim Gift Aid on your donation at no extra cost to you, adding 25 percent to your contribution. You can also complete our Gift Aid form online if you have donated through other means.
