Establish vital learning hubs across Nottingham’s highest-need areas through our East Midlands Community Education Network, creating accessible spaces where students can access the resources and support needed to reach their full potential.

Tutoring Without Barriers
Expand our tutoring programme by securing funding to increase contact hours beyond last year’s levels. Subsidised lessons through our Community Education Fund, where families contribute what they can afford, directly address the cost-of-living crisis, ensuring families can maintain access to quality educational support.

Expand our mentoring reach through strategic partnerships with specialist organisations. By focusing on competitive fields like medicine, we’re providing expert guidance to students who currently lack access to these vital resources.

By positioning our services within trusted community spaces and building strong partnerships, we create lasting change that strengthens local support networks. This means community-centred delivery embedded in local libraries and community centres rather than competing with them, a sustainable growth model mixing paid tutoring and volunteer roles to keep costs affordable, targeted expansion through specialist partnerships that scale across regions, and evidence-based impact that identifies and fills each community’s actual support gaps.
Expanding education access through our comprehensive online platform, providing tutoring and mentoring resources to students regardless of geographical constraints. Our digital hub serves as the foundation for all our educational delivery. Target outcome: increase student contact hours by 10% from this year, securing funding to ensure continuity for students whose parents cannot pay.
Our newest project, funded by the University of Nottingham Students’ Union’s Cascade Grants Programme, establishing educational support directly within local libraries and community centres across the region. Target outcome: fully establish our connection with local councils and establish four regular locations providing consistent, accessible support.
Integrating NSEMM directly into school communities, creating connections with secondary schools and providing students with career guidance, tutoring services, and educational resources. Target outcome: build lasting connections with secondary schools in the East Midlands, providing career talks and tutoring services to students who need them most.
