How much does it cost?
We use a pay-what-you-can model to ensure top-quality tutoring is accessible to everyone. While we suggest a donation of £15 per hour to help sustain our organization, you’re free to contribute whatever fits your budget. The amount you pay has no impact on the level of service you receive, and your tutor won’t know how much you’re paying.
What subjects do you offer?
We provide tutoring in a wide range of subjects at 13+, GCSE, A-Level, and IB levels, including Maths, English, Sciences, Humanities, and Languages. We also offer university entrance support, such as personal statement help and entrance exam preparation (e.g. UCAT, BMAT, LNAT).
Not sure if we cover your subject? Get in touch — we’re happy to help.
Who are your tutors?
Our tutors are all high-achieving current university students or recent graduates from top UK universities. They possess excellent grades (A/A*s at A-levels or equivalent) and are specialists in their subjects. Every tutor is interviewed, with referencing checks and enhanced DBS checks with barred list screening before joining to ensure a strong fit.
Can I try tutoring before committing?
Absolutely! We offer a complimentary free chat session to discuss your child’s needs and ensure a good fit. We can book you in to meet multiple tutors before deciding; there’s no obligation to book after the free chat. Register your interest to get started.
Where do tutoring sessions take place?
Online tutoring is delivered in a secure virtual classroom with live video, screen sharing, and interactive whiteboards. All you need is a device with internet access. In some areas, we also offer free in-person tutoring at local libraries through our Community Education Network.
How do you ensure high-quality teaching?
Every tutor goes through a multi-stage selection process, including interviews and DBS checks. Sessions are guided by qualified teachers from leading UK schools, and tutors receive ongoing support and feedback. Families can leave feedback after each session to help us monitor and maintain quality. Learn more about our tutor quality standards.
What happens after I register interest?
We’ll contact you within 48 hours (often sooner, including evenings and weekends), it’ll be from a Nottingham (0115) number. You can request a specific time for a call. We’ll arrange your free tutor chat and set up your account to get started.
How does payment work?
Lessons are charged via direct debit the day before they take place. Depending on your bank, payment may take a few days to process. You’ll receive advance email notifications. Be sure to set up your payment details beforehand to confirm your booking.
How can I track my child’s progress?
After every session, tutors submit a detailed lesson summary. You’ll also have access to a secure learning hub with session recordings, progress tracking tools, tutor messaging, and the ability to manage future bookings.
Do you have location or curriculum restrictions?
We currently focus on GCSE, A-Level, and IB tutoring within the England and Wales curriculum. This helps us maintain high-quality support aligned with your child’s exact subject and exam board.
Do tutors get paid?
Yes – many of our tutors are paid fairly for their work, while others volunteer their time. All tutors go through the same rigorous selection and training process to ensure consistently high-quality teaching across the board.
